What is the vacuum forming?

The vacuum forming is a particular kind of industrial process that uses the vacuum pressure to mold a plastic sheet into the shape it is intended for.
A.P. FORM S.p.A. has been using this particular process for 50 years, thus ranking among the most historic companies in this sector in the national territory.

How does it run?

The plastic sheet, placed on the thermoforming machine, passes through the heating phase through sophisticated quartz or halogen lamps. When the sheet has reached the correct temperature it is ready to be worked, the vacuum system holds it against the mold until it is shaped as needed.
There are different kind of machineries: A.P. FORM S.p.A. has 8 thermoforming machine centers (with maximum dimension 4000x2000x900) equipped with automated loading and unloading system and most modern heating and control systems.

Whom is it intended for?

The thermoforming technology is very versatile, it is an industrialized but artisanal process at the same time, and it is therefore applicable to so many sectors of industry.
A.P. FORM S.p.A. supplies various sectors, to mention but a few: refrigeration, medical, automotive, furniture, visual communication, cleaning and in general any industrial sector which is looking for a customized design. A.P. FORM, through its technical office, is able to design and develop a feasibility analysis of any project, providing you with a no-obligation estimate.

Which are the advantages of this technology?

Through the thermoforming it is possible to obtain very resistant plastic components with reduced investments on molds and equipment; changes to existing projects can be made at controlled costs without necessarily having to invest in a new mold; the most varied plastic materials can be worked: ABS, ABS + PMMA, PLEXIGLASS, POLYSTYRENE, POLYCARBONATE, POLYETHYLENE, POLYPROPYLENE, PETG.

The advantages are therefore many and can be seen both in economic and in versatility terms.

A.P. FORM S.p.A. to better respond to customer needs, it has recently invested in modern machinery capable of offering high quality and advantage to its customers
